Lucky Plants As Per Vastu To Attract Wealth

We all know how important plants and trees are becoming after the global warming scare, and there are few lucky plants as per Vastu which we all can use to keep global warming at bay and to add positive vibrations to our house and surroundings.

Why Are Plants And Trees Important?

Now the awareness to add plants and trees is gradually gaining ground as we are experiencing high temperatures (earth is getting hotter), pollution, floods and droughts in other words natural disasters.

It’s very much needed now that we all come forward and add plants and trees in our surrounding, else we may not give a habitable planet to our future generations.

What Can We Do?

We have seen governments of different countries are taking some measures to increase the forest areas in their country. We should do our bit and sow few plants and trees in our surroundings.

Here are few tips which can suggest you Lucky plants as per Vastu so that when you do good unto others you should also get something in return.

Tenets Of Vastu For Planting Trees

According to Vastu Shastra, plants with thorns and milk are considered inauspicious, so they should not be planted in the vicinity.

Some plants have their connections with science & mythology and they are prohibited in living space. Viz ‘Peepal’ Tree or Scared Fig and Banyan tree should be placed in Temple.

Some plants and trees emit negative vibes and harmful gases which pollute our environment, thus making it unsafe. We get affected by Nature in every way, so plant specific trees in home or near home to draw good benefits.

How To Use Lucky Plants As Per Vastu?

Plants in North, NE or East

First tenet of Vastu Shastra is, North East, North & East directions give auspicious energy and they are ruled by Jupiter, Mercury & Sun. Scientifically we get Magnetic waves from North & Sunlight from East. North East is the combination of both, so as a bottom line, we should not plant tall trees in these directions as tall trees will obstruct the flow of Magnetic waves & Sun light. So, we won’t plant big trees in North East, North & East.

Plants in South, SW or West

We will plant big trees in South, West or South West as they when they grow they not only add height to South, West or South West they also add weight to these directions, resulting in good Vastu. However, avoid planting tree right in front of the main door which may obstruct the entrance and no trees at the center of the house.

Tulsi (Holy Basil Plant)

Holy Basil or ‘Tulsi’ represents planet Jupiter, that’s why it is highly revered and auspicious. It should be kept in the North East (direction ruled by Jupiter).

Lucky Bamboo Plant

Lucky Bamboo is an indicator of luck and peace. It brings fame and wealth. It should be kept in South East of your house, Living area or work table as South East is the Wealth area as per Feng Shui & it is ruled by Wood.

Money Plant

Money plant should be placed in either the East or South East direction, as they are ruled by element Wood & represent Growth & Wealth respectively.

Coconut And Ashoka Tree

Coconut and Ashoka trees should be placed in the garden/courtyard of the house. Ashoka in sanskrit means without grief so it is believed that the Ashoka tree helps remove sufferings and grief and brings joy.

Banana Tree

Banana tree represents Jupiter, so it is placed in the North-East direction of the house.

Neem Tree

Neem with it’s medicinal properties generates positivity inside house and it is considered auspicious as per Vastu. Neem tree should be placed in the Air zone of the house i.e. North-West corner.

Citrus Plant

Citrus is also known as the Buddha’s hand, the finger-shaped Citron symbolizes luck and happiness.

Dwarf Jade Plant

Dwarf Jade emanates positive energy. It is considered lucky because it has five leaves symbolic of five elements of nature (‘Panch Mahabhootas’). It can be placed in North or Eastern directions.

Orchid

Orchids emblematic of fertility, this flower encourages plenty of progeny. It can be placed in the Living room or outside the room of couple who are suffering from infertility. It is also a symbol of perfection, abundance and higher growth.

Lotus

The Lotus stands for morality, strength and above all ‘the purity’. It should be placed at entrance of the house to get the maximum benefit. It is equally good inside the house as well.

The Lotus is associated with ‘Maa Lakshmi’ (Goddess of wealth) as well as Lord Buddha. Therefore, it is believed that with the Lotus presence, it will help attract enlightenment as well as wealth.

Plants To Be Avoided As Per Vastu & Feng Shui

  • Thorny trees bring disharmony and create unwanted disputes viz. Babool/Kikar) in the house vicinity.
  • Avoid Imli as it is believed that it attract negative energy (evil spirits)
  • Don’t keep dead or dying plants at home. Even dry flowers are considered to bring bad luck.
  • No Creepers inside the house, they are good in the Garden or at the entrance of house or exteriors. They should not rise above the compound wall with their own support system.
  • Fruit bearing trees like Mango, Jamun, Kela; milk bearing trees like Mahua, Peepal, Vata (Banyan tree); and thorny plants like Babool, Ber, Katari etc. are prohibited to be planted inside or within the house walls.
  • Avoid all kinds of bonsai plants as they are symbolic of dwarfed growth.

      Hi Ankita,

Toilet in North East can lead to issues related to not only finances, but Education, Children, and growth. Use a green bulb (keep it on) there to reduce the negative effect of the toilet.

Unpaid bills, legal documents (court case), medical documents (medical reports), unpaid loan documents are some documents which should be kept there to get the saving grace from Jupiter.

Also ensure that your Bedroom, and Kitchen follow Vastu.
