However, the Pythagorean system — the more common Western system, based on a simple A-to-Z sequence — has its own value and is used here for fine-tuning. Checking both together gives a fuller picture than either system alone, and produces one of four possible outcomes for any pair of numbers being compared:

Even when two numbers are not directly listed as compatible in the table below, numerology groups all numbers from 1 to 9 into two broad “friendly” families that are generally supportive of each other:

For each partner, the calculator:

• Adds up the Chaldean value of every letter in the full name and reduces the total to a single digit (1–9) to get the Chaldean Name Number
• Does the same using the Pythagorean chart to get the Pythagorean Name Number
• Reduces the day of birth to a single digit to get the Birth Number
• Adds up every digit of the full date of birth and reduces it to a single digit to get the Destiny Number

What is Chaldean numerology and why is it used for business compatibility?

Chaldean numerology is one of the oldest systems of numerology that assigns letters to numbers as per their vibrations, unlike simple alphabetical order in Pythagorean. What do the Birth Number, Destiny Number and Name Number mean?

One very interesting observation about birth and destiny numbers: the birth number is what you think you are, and the destiny number is what people think you are.
