Day 3, Worship Goddess Chandraghanta For Health & Wealth

Goddess Chandraghanta,- a fierce 10-armed and 3-eyed goddess with a crescent moon on her forehead – governs the third day of Navratri. She has golden skin and she rides on a tiger to destroy all evil and wicked. The 4 left arms carry Trishul (trident), Gada (mace), Sword, and Kamandal (stoup); the fifth arm remains in the Varada Mudra. Her 4 right arms carry lotus, arrow, bow (Dhanush), and Japa Mala (rosary); the fifth arm stays in Abhaya Mudra, the mudras of giving boon and stopping harm. She gives courage and valour to the worshippers and takes away their problems.

Colour & Offering:

Red, the colour of love, passion, vigour and vitality is associated with goddess Chandraghanta. We can please the ferocious goddess with Kheer. She is known for taking away all the pains of devotees.

Goddess Chandraghanta Governing Planet and Direction

Goddess Chandraghanta rules the planet Venus – the giver of all the luxuries, and owner of the South-East direction of the house. If the planet Venus or the South East direction of the house is afflicted, then usually the ladies (Lakshmi) of the house experience hardships and health issues. Worshipping Goddess Chandraghanta may help in getting rid of wealth related problems and health issues for women.
